Drawings with volume, Luis Romero calls his sculptural objects. They are accumulations of cut paper glued on top of each other, layer by layer, until they acquire the character of reliefs. The paper objects are covered with pen, acrylic or ink marks until they form a structure, a pattern, maybe a code. The theme of accumulation and disintegration returns in his drawings, which we present along with the group of sculptural objects. Luis Romero graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2001 and lives and works in Chicago.
