Sarah van Sonsbeeck shortlisted for the Volkskrant Beeldende Kunst Prijs 2012

Sarah van Sonsbeeck has been shortlisted for the Volkskrant Beeldende Kunst Prijs 2012. The other shortlisted artists are Rory Pilgrim, Tala Madani, Charlotte Dumas and David Jablonowski. The winner will be announced in spring 2012. The prize will be awarded for the 6th time. Former winner are Nathalie Bruys (2006), Guido van der Werve (2007), Eylem Aladogan (2009), Navid Nuur (2010) and Ahmet Ogut (2011). The prize is a collaboration between De Volkskrant, NTR and the Fonds BKVB. The jury consisted of Erik van Lieshout, Domeniek Ruyters, Ella van Zanten, Chris Driessen and Macha Roesink.

 

Sarah van Sonsbeeck's work is currently included in 'De Nederlandse Identiteit - De kracht van heden' at Museum de Paviljoens in Almere (until March 4, 2012) and 'Afterlife' at the Nederlands Uitvaartmuseum (November 3 2011 - July 1 2012).
