Autumn Journal is Leo Arnold's second solo exhibition at the gallery, and the first showing of these new paintings. He borrows the title from Louis MacNeice's 1938 book, half lyric and half political, and builds his own journal across the gallery: an intuitive record of life in Amsterdam, carried by recurring motifs of skeletons, shells and horizon lines shaped like tables.
