Le Syndrome de Bonnard takes its title from Bonnard's habit of reworking paintings that were already finished, even after they had left his studio. Across more than thirty artists, Ryan Gander among them, the exhibition at Frac Île-de-France holds the artwork as something impermanent, shaped over time by conservation, display and interpretation.
