A dismantled sculpture, the incomplete collection. The rack is there for more, the chair has thorns for hanging ex-votos.

Dick Verdult's work encompasses film, performance, graphics, drawing, sculptures and ceramics, radioshows, text and music, as well as several art groups he founded, such as the IBW (Instituut voor Betaalbare Waanzin / Institute for Affordable Lunacy) and Festicumex - a festival for a non-existent music genre. As a visual artist and musician in the experimental Cumbia Lunaticas and Experimentales music he has acquired a cult status, well known by the name of Dick El Demasiado, especially in South America, Russia and Japan. His work is topical and often politically charged, and Verdult is a master in letting things derail and allowing imperfections.
