'A Hat with Two Feet and an 'i'' explores the use of a single stroke to imitate and depict the world around us, tracing different perspectives and realities, rendering a reflection, caricature, or representation of our daily experiences, dreams and wonders. A stroke can become the outline of a letter, a word, a query, or a grammar, it can form the legs, torso, eyes, mouth or costume of a figure, representing a human, a plant or an animal.
Using printing and animation production methods, an alphabet of lines is brought to life on glass, stamped into sentences of figures in motion. Each sentence becomes a living organism, creating a syntax of movement. Layers build upon each other, lines dance and stretch, forming a chain of transformation and possibility. The resulting images explore the potential of the line, becoming breathing entities that reflect, connect, and parody the world we live in.
