Throughout her 2010 stay in South Africa, Van Warmerdam took photos of both the moon and the sun. Time and again she captured a super-romantic kitschy sun with her camera. The title appears in large letters as a kind of lowered horizon in the picture. In addition, she has manipulated the silkscreen prints with various rounds of iris printing, making every print unique.
