The image is related to works that were on view in Amorales' 2019 Stedelijk retrospective, bringing together elements of his colorful The Geometric Splendor and the encrypted alphabet that forms the basis of Life in the folds. The latter also formed his presentation at the 57th International Venice Biennale in 2017. The individual shapes that make up the two figures function as the typeface of the alphabet designed by Amorales.
